My Morning Routine

I have 2 morning routines which I know isn't ideal but its how it is sometimes.

School Routine

  1. Wake up at 0605. I have two alarms, an alarm on my watch that wakes me up gently with vibration, then an alarm from an Amazon Echo that forces me to get out of bed, stand up, and turn it off.

  2. I then drink 700ml of Water from a bottle I filled up the night before while I walk to the bathroom.

  3. I then get in the shower and get out of the shower at 0615. I will normally meditate and focus in the shower to plan out how my day is going to be organized.

  4. I take about 15 minutes to dry off, do a simple skincare routine, and get dressed.

  5. I am downstairs by 0630 and make myself breakfast and read either my book or the news.

  6. I finish eating at 0650 and proceed to pack my lunch and backpack for the day.

  7. I get picked up by my friend to go to school at around 0710.

Weekend Routine

Most of my routine changes on the weekend though I have set some general guidelines for myself.

  • Wake up at/or before 0830 so I have time to accomplish things in the day

  • Drink 700ml of water right after you get up

  • If I don't take a shower, mediate and focus without it

  • Cook a nicer breakfast than normal.

Why I have two routines:

While almost all I have read recommends having only on routine, with the present school schedule I have it is somewhat impossible. Due to my many obligations, I often find myself getting to bed after 2330 with some night approaching 0030. Due to that reality I need time to regain the sleep I have lost and the weekends present that opportunity.

Items to Implement in to both routines:

  • Stretching

  • A quick workout

  • Experiment with coffee and tea?

  • The "Wim Hof" Method

  • Make my bed

  • “Tomorrow List.”

    1. At the end of your day, write down the tasks you need to complete tomorrow.

    2. Look at the list when you start the next day.

    3. End your day by creating another list for tomorrow.
